The parchments and the finished pair.
Tefillin contain handwritten passages from the Torah. The passages for the head and arm are prepared differently. The complete pair also includes the batim that house them and the straps.
When comparing options, ask what the quoted order includes. A price for written parshiyot and a price for a complete pair describe different purchases.
What to clarify for your order.
Mention whether you need Rashi or Rabbeinu Tam tefillin and the script you follow. If the order is for a bar mitzvah or another important date, include that timing in your inquiry.
- Complete pair, parshiyot or a specific component.
- Rashi or Rabbeinu Tam, and preferred script.
- The batim, straps and any dimensions to be agreed.
- The checks, documentation, price and delivery date.
Know what has been agreed.
Before confirming, make sure the writing, components and checks are clear. A writing sample can help the conversation about script, while the agreed specification describes the order you are placing.
After an order is opened, the personal link shows its recorded progress and any photographs or reports shared with you. Contact Shraga when a detail needs clarification rather than trying to infer the whole specification from a photograph.
Questions before ordering
Can I ask about Rashi and Rabbeinu Tam?
Yes. State which you need in your inquiry, or say that you would like to clarify the choice before ordering.
Can I order for a bar mitzvah?
Include the date when you contact Shraga. Availability and delivery timing must be agreed for the particular order.
Are batim and straps included?
That depends on the agreed scope. Specify whether you want a complete pair or particular components and confirm what is included in the quote.
